Arm support
The armrests of this chair provide support for the arms. This reduces tension on the arms, shoulders, neck and hand muscles. This is particularly important when sitting for long periods of time. When work is finished, the armrests can be used as a support when standing up, thus reducing the strain on the pelvic muscles.
It is recommended to choose an armrest position that allows the arms to be bent at about 90° while sitting at the desk, with the shoulder blades naturally relaxed and in a straight horizontal line. It is important to ensure that when sitting in a chair, the legs of the person should be at a straight 90° angle to the floor.
CHESTER is an excellent ergonomic solution. If you have any questions about how to adjust your ergonomic chair, please read the advice from the Chair Centre or contact our consultants.
ARM SUPPORT
Chair covered in Eco leather
Visitor chair CHESTER is covered in eco-leather, also known as artificial leather. Modern eco-leather leather is produced using the latest technologies and is not very different from genuine leather, but it has many advantages.
The first and main advantage is that eco-leather chairs cost significantly less than natural leather, while maintaining the feel and aesthetic appearance of a leather chair. Artificial leather chairs are just as easy to clean and maintain as genuine leather chairs. Aditionally, artificial leather is not an animal product, so no animals are killed in the production of eco-leather.
It is worth noting that sitting in chairs with leather or eco leather surfaces may cause the occupant to perspire. Before purchasing this office chair, it should be assessed whether the work area will be cooled in summer.
Classically shaped backrest
Visitor chair CHESTER has a classically shaped backrest. This type of backrest provides comfortable back support for people of all heights and body shapes. For some customers ergonomically shaped backrests are not comfortable and sometimes cause discomfort. Classically shaped backrests are more likely to make it easier to find a comfortable sitting position. It is worth noting that the shape of the backrest is a very personal choice. If more than one person will be using this CHESTER chair, or if you are not sure which back shape would suit you best, we recommend that you try it out live in our showroom.
Environmental friendliness
Guest chair CHESTER is made of easily recyclable materials, the parts of the chair are free of impurities and can be easily separated during recycling. This ensures that after many years of use, the chair will be easily and sustainably recycled. This is a very important function of the chair in order to reduce the global footprint of the products we sell.
We see corporate environmental sustainability as our duty and responsibility. Our company is certified to the EN ISO 14001 Standard for Effective Environmental Management. This certification demonstrates that the company assesses and addresses environmental factors in its procurement, production and supply chains. The EN ISO 14001 standard is an international European standard, recognised in all EU countries, which demonstrates the company’s commitment to ecology to its customers.
Awards and certificates
OEKO-TEX quality certificate
CHESTER complies with and has been awarded the STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX quality certificate. The purpose of the standard is to ensure that the textile material does not contain any harmful chemicals or other substances. This is particularly important as our bodies interact with the fabrics of the chair on a daily basis and children come into contact with the fabrics. OEKO-TEX certification tests various parts of the production process, from the dyeing of the material to the hemming. Random quality tests ensure that the fabrics of the product you buy are free of any harmful or harmful substances.
